Jesse James Smith, 78, Summerfield, Florida passed away on March 21, 2024 at University Health, The Villages Hospital, The Villages, Florida. Jesse was born on August 22, 1945 in Bartow, Florida to his parents James Oscar Smith and Maude (Hand) Smith.
Jesse moved to Summerfield, Florida 14 years ago from Lakeland, Florida. He was of the Baptist faith. He was a former Supervisor in the Phosphate Industry and retired from Seminole Fertilizer. Jesse was a proud Veteran of the United States Army who served in the Vietnam War as a Communications Specialist. He was a huge fan of western movies and western tv shows and was an avid fisherman who loved his time out on the water.
Jesse was survived by his loving son: James Smith and his significant other Kelly Mahan of Summerfield, FL; a brother: Jimmy Frank Smith; a sister: Mary McDonald and many loving nieces and nephews.
