Was sad to hear of Mr. Peebles passing. I worked part time for him at his furniture store. I was around 18, 19 yrs old. I will soon be 53. Wow time sure passes us by. Just heard of Mr. Peebles passing. What a wonderful man he was and he did so much for the town of Wildwood and the state of Florida as well. He use to come by our office at Sumter Insurance every now and again just to chat. He was such a sweet man and I know that he will be missed by his family and all those in Wildwood who knew and loved him. Mr. Peebles touched so many lives in so many positive ways. Noella and I have fond memories of Willard. He, Bill Wing and I went on overnight camping/fishing trips to a prairie in the Scrub that he visited from his boyhood days. I enjoy thinking back on those times. Willard and I also worked closely together on many Community projects. He was always a fine leader and Mentor to me.
