Jeremiah “Jerry” Joseph James Murphy, 77, of Fruitland Park passed away Saturday, October 31, 2015. Mr. Murphy was born May 4, 1938 in Syracuse, NY to Joseph and Marion (Walsh) Murphy. Jerry was a U.S. Marine, Vietnam Veteran. He was a retired entrepreneur moving here in 2005 from Syracuse. He was a member of St. Timothy Catholic Church, the American Legion, Rotary, Elks and JC’s as well as being a life member of the Marine Corp League. Survivors include his fiancé, Judith Birins-Stevens, 5 children, 14 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
