Jerald G. Hieronymus, 80, of Lake Placid passed away, Sunday, January 12, 2014. Mr. Hieronymus was born July 27, 1933 to the late Robert and Dorothy (Carlock) Hieronymus. He had served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and had several occupations, retiring as a trucker. He moved to Lake Placid in 2004 from
Shelbyville, IL. He was a member of the Leisure Lakes Baptist Church, the American Legion and was a Mason. Survivors include his loving wife of 21 years, Wanda J.; children, Dan and Patricia Hieronymus of Dallastown, PA and their children, Nigel, Lyle and Jarick; David Hieronymus of San Antonio, TX and his son Keane; Doug Hieronymus of Rio Medina, TX and his children, Joshua, Austin and Bradley; Diane and Jim Amberson of D’Hanis, TX and their children Kenny and Sarah Fulks and Krista Fulks; April Hieronymus of Glendale Heights, IL and her son, Guy Peter Hieronymus-Kuhns; brother, Robert and Phyllis Hieronymus of Lake Placid; sisters, Carolyn Rau of Bloomington, IL and Linda Martin of Champaign, IL.; stepchildren, Debra Zientara and her son, Aaron; Joyce and Ron Gaddis and their sons, Brock and Doug; Jeff Zientara and his sons, Garrett, Richard and Max.
Memorial services for Jerry will be held (time, day, date) in the Leisure Lake Baptist Church and also (time, day, date) in the clubhouse at Covered Bridge.
