Jeanette M. O'Brien's Obituary
Jeanette M. O’Brien, 93, The Villages, Florida passed away on September 13, 2014 under the loving care of her family and staff of The Villages Hospice House in The Villages, Florida. Mrs. O’Brien was born on December 15, 1920 in Waterloo, Iowa to her parents Dellson A. Decker and Lucy I. (Halterman) Decker. Mrs. O’Brien had worked many years ago for Sears and Roebuck as a Department Manger in retail sales. She moved to The Villages in 1996 coming from New Port Richey, FL. She was of the Methodist faith, an avid golfer and had been the Past President of the Illinois P.T.A. She is survived by her loving son’s: Steven Speck (Nancy) of Clinton, Iowa and Phil Speck (Marcia) of Aurora, Illinois; two grandchildren: Zachary Speck (Rebecca) and Chad Speck (Amy); five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband James O’Brien, a son Craig Speck and a brother Jim Decker.
