Jean Catherine Holly's Obituary
Jean Catherine Holly, 87, Oxford, Florida formerly of St. Petersburg passed away on April 10, 2016 at The Villages Regional Hospital in The Villages, Florida. Mrs. Holly was born on November 8, 1928 in St. Petersburg, FL. to her parents William Stanley Harris and Velma Catherine (Nodine) Harris. Mrs. Holly was a former Long Distance Telephone Operator for General Telephone Company in St. Petersburg, Florida for over 32 years. She moved with her late husband to Oxford in 1978 from St. Petersburg. She was a member of Pasadena Community U.M.C. in St. Petersburg and attended Oxford United Methodist Church. She was a proud member of Independent Telephone Pioneers as well as being a life member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter in Wildwood, FL. She also was quite active with American Paint Horse Association, Dixie Paint Horse Club of Ocala, She was a Professional Horse Show Announcer and worked for the Tampa State Fair Authority for many years and belonged to various horse clubs in St. Petersburg, FL. She is survived by her loving children: Stan (Missy) Holly of Oxford, FL and Chris Holly of Oxford, FL; two grandchildren: Zachary Holly and Aspen Holly and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Warren G. Holly, and a brother, Winfred S. Harris. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 15, 2016 at 11:00AM at Banks/Page-Theus Funeral Home, Wildwood, Florida with a Visitation to be held prior to the service from 10:00AM to 11:00AM at the funeral home.
