The Reverend Janice M. Meikle, TSSF, 70, of The Villages passed away Friday, June 1, 2012. Mrs. Meikle was born April 2, 1942 in Woonsocket, R.I. and moved to The Villages in March 2011 from Cave Junction, Oregon. She was an Episcopal Priest, retiring from St. Stephens in-the-Fields in San Jose, Ca. Jan was in The Third Order, Society of St. Francis and a prolific reader when she had time.Survivors include her loving husband of 49 years, Bob; daughter, Shannon Meikle of Reno, Nv; son, Tim Meikle of Ely, England; sister, Joan VanBaalen of Brewster, Ma. along with 3 grandchildren, Brandon Shales, Zack Shales and Aiden Meikle.A funeral mass for Janice Meikle will be held 10:00am, Saturday, June 16, 2012 in the St. George’s Episcopal Church, The Villages with interment following in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Leesburg.A memorial mass will be officiated by the Bishop of the Docess of El Camino Real, The Right Reverend Mary Gary-Reeves at 1:00pm in the St Stephens in-the-Fields Episcopal Church, San Jose, Ca. on June 30, 2012.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Jan’s memory to St. Stephen in-the-Fields Episcopal Church, 7269 Santa Teresa Blvd, San Jose, Ca. 95139.On-line condolences and memories may be shared by visiting www.bankspagetheus.com.
