James M. "Bubba" Hurst's Obituary
James M. "Bubba" Hurst, 76, of Summerfield, FL, passed away on May 12, 2026. Bubba was born in Ocala, FL, on May 30, 1949, to his loving parents: J M and Evelyn (Beck) Hurst.
Bubba was a true Florida native and of the Apostolic faith. He was a lifelong farmer in his community.
Bubba will be missed dearly and remembered fondly by his family and his community.
Bubba is preceded in passing by his beloved wife of 49 years, Patricia Hurst, a sister, Shirley Callaway, and his parents.
Bubba leaves behind his children: Kyle (Crystal) Hurst, Bridget (Francis) Clark and Brandy (Donald), as well as his six grandchildren, Noah (Carey), Luke, Kylie (Madison), Olivia, Kyndel and Kolby, a great grandson, Hudson James, and two sisters; Deborah "Dee Dee" Nesmith and Gwen Varnum.
Bubba's interment will be private.
A Homegoing Celebration service is scheduled for Saturday May 16, 2026 at 4:00pm at Souls Harbor First Pentecostal Church.
