James Ellis Owens, Jr.'s Obituary
James “Ellis” Owens, Jr., 66, of Wildwood passed away Sunday, February 12, 2012. Mr. Owens was born April 24, 1945 in Duval County and has lived in Wildwood most of his life. He graduated from Wildwood High School, had served in the U.S. Navy and was a retired carpenter. He was a member of the Oxford Assembly of God Church and enjoyed fishing, hunting, going on cruises and spoiling his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include his children, James (Annette) Barley of Morriston, Charles (Lois) Barley of Weston, Ga., Cathy (Doug) Eaton of Morriston and Keith (Cynthia) Barley of Weston, Ga.; sister-in-law, Joyce Gorby of Morriston, 14 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. Visitation for Mr. Owens will be held 6:00 – 8:00pm, Thursday, February 16, 2012, with the funeral service being held 11:00am Friday, February 17, 2012 in the Banks/Page-Theus Chapel.
