James Hugh Dunn, 73, Tavares, Florida went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 4, 2026 at Cornerstone Hospice House in Tavares, Florida. James was born on March 14, 1953 in Lanett, Alabama to his parents Harold Hugh Dunn and Martha (Farr) Dunn.
James moved to Tavares, Florida seven years ago from Jackson, Georgia. He was of the Baptist faith. James was an avid Bass Fisherman and loved to catch and release all his catches. He was a member of B.A.S.S. (Bassmaster, an organization dedicated to Serving a growing community of anglers by fueling a passion for fishing through education, inspiration and conservation, and helping to define the culture and the lifestyle surrounding the sport.) James was a welder by trade and was in high demand due to his skills and his dedication to excellence in his trade.
James is survived by his loving sister: Ann D. Sapp and her husband Wayne of Brooklet, GA; a niece: Natalie Wilds and her husband Will of Brooklet, GA; a nephew: Mark Hamrick and his wife Jana of Jefferson, GA; four grand nephews and nieces; five great grand nephew and nieces; and a cousin: Alan Farr of Crozet, VA and a host of dear friends.
