James Douglas Coleman's Obituary
James Douglas Coleman, 83, of Sumterville passed away Sunday, March 23, 2014. Mr. Coleman was born June 3, 1930 in Urbana, IL to John Henry and Goldie Marie (Sparks) Coleman. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. He moved here in 1968 from IL and was a retired construction manager. He served as a building official for Sumter County and was a past president for Habitat for Humanity. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed flying and deep sea diving. Survivors include his loving wife of over 30 years, Sandy; sons, Aaron and Jamie; daughters, Heidi, Greta and Trudy; brothers, John and Jack along with several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Nathan.
