James C. Crenshaw's Obituary
James C. Crenshaw, 84, Wildwood, passed away January 13, 2012. Mr. Crenshaw was born in Wildwood on September 21, 1927 and lived in Sumter County all of his life. He served in the U.S. Army, retired from CSX Railroad and farming. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Rutland.Survivors include his wife, Bertie; 2 daughters: Lynn Newmons (Allen), Gail Lastinger (Travis), and a son: Reggie Crenshaw (Shelly); 5 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; brother, Gilbert Crenshaw (Gay), sister-in-law, Pat Crenshaw. Mr. Crenshaw was preceded in death by his brother, Horace Crenshaw.A graveside memorial service will be held Monday, January 16, 2012, 2:00 P.M., at the Oak Grove Cemetery, Wildwood. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Cornerstone Hospice, 601 Casa Bella, The Villages, FL. 32162.
