Jack was a lot of fun, he was always laughting & telling funny stories about things he and Bill had done.
He was a hard working man. I remember when he and Bill would have fund raisers for the fire department. He loved the fire department.
He was a very special Uncle to Jessica, our grand daughter. He loved her like she was his own. Jessica knew she could depend on her Uncle Jack to convince her dad to get her what ever she wanted. Jessica wanted her Uncle Jack to walk her down the isle with her dad when she got married. And he did, and he cried doing it.
He took care of his mother and Oneil every night after working all day. He cooked, and made cole slaw every night. Jack was a dedicated family man.
I remember when Jack and Bill set up a trailer with rehab equipment so the two of them could help Oneil after his accident. They worked with Oneil after working all day farming. The two of hem spent many hours with Oneil to get him to walk. It is because of Jack and Bill that Oneil can get around like he does today.
He was a giver. In the last years of his life he countinued to work and help family and friends even when he was very sick. We can all take comfort in knowing that when he arrived home, his Lord embraced him and said "well done my good and faithful servent." John 15:12 & 13 Jesus said "This is my commandment, that ye love one another, as I have loved you. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends". Our family was blessed to have known him. I choose not to remember how he died, but the way he lived.
