Iona Leatherman's Obituary
Iona Leatherman passed away on Saturday, May 15, 2010 at the age of 76. She was born on November 4, 1933, in Burke County, N.C. to the late Fred and Shellie Cline. Iona moved to Oxford, FL., in 1955 with her husband Bobbie where they together worked their family farm for many years. She loved her land, the cattle, her flower gardens and gardening in general. Locally she attended services at 1st Baptist Church of Oxford, FL, Iona was a loving mother to her two daughters Debbie (Kenneth) Smith and Sandy Leatherman both of Oxford, FL., and loving grandmother to Sterling Smith. Visitation for Iona will be today, Monday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. in the Banks/Page-Theus Chapel in Wildwood. Services will be on Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Banks/Page-Theus Chapel with burial to follow in Pine Level Cemetery.
