Imogene Ruth Basedow's Obituary
Imogene Ruth Basedow, 78, of Avon Park, passed away Monday, January 16, 2012. Ms. Basedow was born March 1, 1933 in Grand Island, Nebraska. She moved to Avon Park in 1991 from Colorado Springs, Colorado after retiring from Quest Communications. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Sebring. In retirement she sang in Highland Ridge’s Chorale, enjoyed her bridge club, golf, bowling, and visited her daughters and granddaughters each summer. She is preceded in death by her husband Walter. Survivors include her brothers, Donald Morris of Grand Island, NE and Howard Morris of McAllen, TX; her daughters, Kristi (Robert) Milano of Montgomery, AL and Kimberly (Thomas) Mertens of North Platte, NE; granddaughters Angela, Amy, Ashley, Alyssa, and Alex; and a great-granddaughter, Vivi Jo. A funeral service was held Wednesday, January 18, 2012 in the Chapel of Peace in Lakeview Memorial Gardens, Avon Park. On-line condolences may be shared by visiting www.bankpagetheus.com.
