Hugh Edward Gilmore Jr's Obituary
Hugh Edward Gilmore, Jr, 92, of Wildwood passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2017. Mr. Gilmore was born July 28, 1924 in Boston, Mass to Irene Edith (O’Sullivan) and Hugh E. Gilmore, Sr. He was a US Navy Veteran of WWII. Hugh retired from the Boston/Maine Railroad as a locomotive engineer. He moved here in 1988 from Exeter, NH and was very active in the VFW. Survivors include his daughter, Kathie Alberthal (Charlie); sisters, Louise Campbell and Jean Doherty; grandson, Patrick Breeden (Michelle); great-grandson, Ryan and several nieces and nephews. Hugh was preceded in death by his loving wife, Ruth, in 2013. The family request a private interment in Florida National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed in Hugh’s honor to the hospice of your choice.
