Howard E. Driggers' Obituary
Howard E. “Tobe” Driggers, 80, of Wildwood passed away Monday, January 30, 2012. Mr. Driggers was born June 30, 1931 in Oxford and was a lifelong resident. He was a member of the Oxford Assembly of God Church and had been a farmer as well as being self employed. In the past Tobe had announced the Wildwood football games for 50 years. Survivors include his loving wife of 62 years, Nancy; children, Randall (Coleen) Driggers of Vero Beach, Ronald Driggers of Wildwood, Deloren (Bill) Moore of Pace, Fl., Jeanie (Ted) Davis of Wildwood, Jerry (Nancy) Driggers of Wildwood and Jolinda (Greg) Windham of Oxford; brother, Pat Driggers of Winter Haven; sisters, Ione Vause of Tallahassee and Inez Driggers of Ocala along with 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Visitation for Tobe Driggers will be held 5:00 – 7:00pm, Wednesday, February 1, 2012 in the Banks/Page-Theus Chapel and also 10:00 – 11:00am, Thursday in the Oxford Assembly of God Church with the funeral service following at 11:00am in the church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the Oxford Assembly of God Church, Building Fund, P.O. Box 9, Oxford, Florida 34484.
