Herman Cooper Warnock's Obituary
Herman Cooper Warnock, 89, of Hamlet, N.C., formerly of Oxford, passed away February 19, 2011. Mr. Warnock had served in the U.S. Army during WWII and had retired as a District Claims Manager from Seaboard Air Line Railroad in 1982, after giving the railroad over 40 years of service. He was a member of the Fellowship United Methodist Church in Hamlet, N.C. the American Legion, the Hamlet Masonic Lodge and Sandhills Shrine Club. He was also a member of the Southern National Bank serving on the local branch board for 15 years with many terms as the chairman.Survivors include his wife, Evelyn; 2 sons and their wives- Greg and Mary Alice Warnock; Doug and Betty Lynn Warnock; 2 sisters – Ernestine Warnock and Lois Wilson; 3 granddaughters, 1 grandson, 1 great granddaughter and 3 step grandsons.A graveside memorial service will be held 10:00 A.M., Saturday, April 23, 2011, in the Pine Level Cemetery, Oxford.
