Helen Wanise Sherrod's Obituary
Helen Wanise Sherrod, 77, of Wildwood, passed away Thursday, July 30, 2015. Mrs. Sherrod was born July 19, 1938 in Flat Rock, AL to Virgil Clay and Mary Annis (Kight) Stiefel. She moved to Florida as a teenager and has lived here most of her life. She was a retired school bus driver and had attended Sumterville Assembly of God Church. She loved being with her family and gardening. Survivors include her daughters, Debbie Paxton (Steve) of Oxford and Karen Roberts (Yongman) of Jacksonville; sisters, Sarah Sharpe of Bushnell, Delilah Thomas of Lake Panasoffkee, Susie Dickerson of Bushnell and Pat Stiefel of Tampa; 5 grandchildren, Chris Paxton ( Chana), Paige Potter (Colin), Emily Paxton, Noah Roberts and Hannah Roberts; 2 great-grandsons, Waylon Paxton and Ryker Paxton. Visitation for Mrs. Sherrod will be 3:00-5:00pm, Sunday, August 2, 2015 in the Banks/Page-Theus Chapel. Funeral services will be 11:00am, Monday, August 3, 2015 in Discovery Church, Wildwood with interment following in Pine Level Cemetery, Oxford.
