Hazel Janette Kornegay's Obituary
Hazel Janette Kornegay, 87, of Oxford passed away Friday, April 5, 2013. Mrs. Kornegay was born June 13, 1925 in Oxford to the late George and Danny (Perry) Fort. She was a lifelong resident of Sumter County and a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Rudolph; sons, Gene (Donna), Danny Wayne (Katrina) both of Oxford and Robert (Brenda) of Trenton; sister, Neil Sands of Oxford; 12 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held 6:00 – 8:00pm, Monday, April 8, 2013 in the Banks/Page-Theus Chapel. Funeral services will be 2:00pm, Tuesday, April 9, 2013 in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with interment following in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
