Harvey M. Minten's Obituary
Harvey M. Minten, 93, of Oxford, FL passed away Sunday, May 11, 2025. He was born on January 18, 1932, in Kimberly, WI to Matthew and Cecelia (Bos) Minten.
Harvey married Ione Vandenberg on August 10, 1954, at St. John’s Catholic Church in Little Chute Wisconsin.
He honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps.
Harvey enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, golfing, and rooting for his favorite team, the Green Bay Packers. After retirement from the trucking industry, he loved traveling with his family in his motor home to see the countryside.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Dean Minten; brother, Richard Minten and sister, Audrey Frisch.
He is survived by his wife, Ione (Vandenberg) Minten; son, Dennis (Patti Bohm) Minten; daughters: Cindy Young and Diane (Peter) Olsen; brother, Robert (Lou) Minten; grandchildren: Ashley, Hayley, Dustin, Rachel, and Melanie; great-grandchildren: Addison and Mia.
There will be a celebration of life memorial service at 11:00 am Friday, May 23, 2025, at Steeplechase Gracious Retirement Living, 12029 County Road 103, Oxford, FL 34484.
