I got to visit with him a couple of weeks before he sold the house in Three Rivers and moved to Florida. My grandson and I got to listen to his reel to reel tape player. One last hug goodbye. I'll miss him a bunch - already do:)

Sharon, Butch and Debbie,
I'm so sad to hear about the lose of your dad and my Uncle Harold...what a great guy he was and I'll never forget his smile or the way he would laugh at all of us. He'd sound gruff, but then he'd laugh. God bless you all hope to see you soon, Barbara Herrold
So sad to hear of the passing of "Smitty"... His was always a friendly face to see at breakfast at Main St. Café in Three Rivers. He'd always ask me how the (Detroit) Tigers were doing and was often wearing a classic Tigers ballcap. My kids looked forward to blueberry pancakes with Smitty's blueberries when they were in season!!!
Sorry for your loss. Harold was a wonderful man. Rick and I enjoyed his company and sense of humor.Rick will miss talking to him at the reunion.
So sorry to hear about your father, I wanted to see him before he left for Florida and get some blueberry's and tell him good by, but other things kept coming up, I will remember him from last year when I went out to get my berries, he came out and helped me pick and we had a nice conversation, I will miss him.
