Gloria Nell Sherman's Obituary
Gloria Nell Sherman, 82, of Lake Panasoffkee, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 11, 2020. Mrs. Sherman was born December 11, 1937 in Wimauma, FL to Angelo and Thelma (Tatum) Burnett. She graduated from the Wimauma High School. Gloria’s main purpose in life was to be a loving wife and mother. She began working at Cooper Hatchery in NW Ohio when her children started high school. Gloria returned to Florida in 1990 from Paulding County, OH with her husband, who precedes her in death, Darrell “Spike” Sherman. She was a member of the Harvest Baptist Church in Lake Panasoffkee. Gloria enjoyed working in the yard and caring for her flowers, but her passion was bird watching and reading about the different birds she had seen. Survivors include her children, John Sherman of Lake Panasoffkee and Kim Sherman-Courtright (Keith) of Columbus, OH; grandson, Justus Sherman Courtright; sister, Eleanor Rambo; and brother, Brody Burnett.
