Gloria Jean Mattimore's Obituary
Gloria Jean Mattimore, she was born on Friday, January 11, 1947 in Long Island, NY. She was a licensed practical nurse for over 30 years who loved her profession. She died peacefully with her family by her side at Citrus Hospice on June 11th, 2022.
She is preceded in death by her father who was a WWII Veteran, Howard F. Mattimore, her mother, Muriel Froehlich Stokes, two brothers: James Mattimore, and Lee Webb, grandson, Michael Valero, great granddaughter, Isabella Maldonado, and great grandson, Liam Lombardi.
She is survived by sister, Cindy Taylor and brother, William Stokes of Tennessee; daughters: Lynette Whitmore (David Brindac Sr.) of Inverness Fl, Melinda Langley of Lyon Ga., and Christine Rodick of Tarpon Springs Fl.; Sons: Jose Estrada (Elly) of Springhill FL., Ricardo Valero (Doreen) of Vineland NJ, and Louis Valero Sr. of Vineland NJ; Grandchildren: Krissy Rivera (Alex), of Valrico FL., Kandis Whitmore (Jon Smith) of Brooksville FL., Kassie Whitmore (Javier Torres) of Springhill Fl., Charliann Perket of Springhill Fl., David Brindac Jr. (Kayla) of Wildwood Fl., Brandon Brindac of Bolivar Mo., Darrius Rodick, Gabi Lombardi, Riley Estrada of Springhill Fl., Ezekiel Rowan, Amelia Kutneiwski of Tarpon Springs Fl., Cycle Langley of Brooksville Fl., Lisa Mora of Fayetteville NC, Louis Valero Jr (Laura) of Mickleton NJ, Anthony Valero Sr. (Stephanie) of Spring Lake NC, Ryan Hewitt of Millville NJ, Mariah Guadagno Staten Island NY, and Christopher Hernandez, Sr. of Vineland NJ; Great Grandchildren: Victoria Rivera of Valrico Fl., Jaxon Smith, Karsyn Smith of Brooksville Fl., Brantley Asquith, Khaleesi Torres, Lorenzo Torres of Springhill Fl., Landon Lombardi of Springhill Fl., Mallory Brindac of Wildwood Fl., Michael Mora of Fayetteville NC, Valentina Valero, Anthony Valero Jr. of Spring Lake NC, Christopher Hernandez Jr. of Vineland NJ, Isaac Maldonado, Alena Suarez, and Alana Suarez of Staten Island NY; and many niece's, nephew's, great niece's, and great nephew's.
Gloria enjoyed crafting and spending time at the beach in the sun. She would work the overnight shift come home and change her clothes to walk right outside to her lounge chair. She would spend hours and hours outside laying in the sun catching some rays. She loved Pomeranians she had several including, Bandit (she lost him years ago), Elvis, and Ashlee who now stays with Lynette who Gloria lived with once before. Gloria loved Elvis Presley, as did her mother, she would loved to collect his memorabilia.
