Glenn Novinger's Obituary
Glenn E. Novinger, 88, of Oxford went to be with the Lord Saturday, October 19, 2013. Mr. Novinger was born in Flemington, FL, December 21, 1924, the son of Earl L. and Gretta (Frint) Novinger. After serving in the U.S. Navy during WWII he moved to Oxford. He retired from the Sumter County School District. He was a member of the Northside Baptist Church in Ocala where he served as a Deacon and had taught Sunday school for many years. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, gardening and going to the mountains. Survivors include his loving wife of 64 years, Marie; son, James (Marcia) Novinger of Weirsdale; 3 daughters, Martha (Dennis) Grant of Oxford, Mary Jane Fore of Carrollton, GA, Nina (John) Dyer of Sanford; 2 brothers, Carl Novinger of Flemington and Roy Novinger of Salt Springs; 2 sisters, Elsie Neal of Williston and Ida Mae Sieg of Lynne, FL; 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson. Visitation for Mr. Novinger will be held 6:00pm – 8:00pm, Tuesday, October 22, 2013 in the funeral home. Funeral services will be 2:00pm, Wednesday in the Banks/Page-Theus Chapel with interment following in Nichols Cemetery, Oxford.
