Uncle Butch was best man at my wedding. He put on the bottom of my husband's shoes, HELP ME! My mom gasped when Tony knelt down and we all saw it!
He lived with us for 4 1/2 months while he was building his first home. There was never a dull moment and he was always doing something - couldn't sit still!
I love the picture of him that is displayed here because it shows his personality!

When I was about 4 I remember being in the front seat of the big station wagon and my dad was driving me . I remember looking out the window of the car at the intercoastal waters of palm beach. I was newly adopted bt this drive had me worried . I asked where we were going and he said your sick we have to go to the hospital(i was deathly sick). I remember I started to cry and said so you don't want me anymore? As he drove he reached his arm out and pulled me closer as to hug me & comfort me and I remember he teared up and kinda laughed n said "Sweetheart I love you ,of course we want you but you need to see a doctor so you will grow up to be strong and healthy"( i did it daddy 😊strong n healthy). I remember pulling up to st Mary's hospital and him n I going in . I was admitted to the hospital very sick bt he stayed with me. I remember him coming to check on me n telling me he had to go to work(he was a fireman) bt he would be back. He came almost daily n assured me he loved me. Today I wake to my dad gone from earth bt I know in my heart my dad loved me. Daddy it was easy to love you cause I knew you loved me no matter what. Daddy I love you!
