Gerry A. Neckers' Obituary
Gerry Anne Neckers, 84, of Brandon, FL, passed away on June 14, 2026. Gerry was born in Yonkers, NY, on April 24, 1942, to her loving parents; John and Laura (Berlinghoff) Blank.
Gerry was of the Methodist faith and worked for over 30 years as a first grade teacher. She retired in 1997, which is when she began snow-birding from New York to Florida. In 2000, she settled in Florida full time and eventually in 2003, The Villages.
Gerry enjoyed spending her time with her husband. Fred, and her friends outdoors, boating, playing golf, tennis, and reading.
Gerry and her husband, Fred, married in 1963 and spent a wonderful 58 years together until his passing in December of 2021. Fred loved sporting the American flag, so it is fitting that Gerry is reunited with him on Flag Day.
Gerry is survived by her loving children, Jennifer (David) DeMik and Jeffrey (Valerie) Neckers, as well as a brother, Thomas Blank and four grandchildren; Jaqueline Neckers, John Neckers, Brianna DeMik and Julia DeMik.
Gerry is preceded in passing by her beloved husband of 58 years, Fred Neckers and her parents; John and Laura Blank.
