Gerald A. Strnad's Obituary
Gerald A. “Jerry” Strnad, 84, of Wildwood, FL passed away Monday, January 16, 2017. Mr. Strnad was born November 24, 1932 in Detroit, MI to Alois and Frances (Kolar) Strnad. He was a U.S. Marine Veteran of the Korean War. Jerry retired from Memphis Light, Gas & Water. He moved here in June 2016 from Jackson, TN. Jerry was a member of Northside United Methodist Church in Jackson. He was a talented Saxophone Player and had played in bands since he was 16 years old. He was also an avid bowler and played on several leagues as well as holding different positions for the leagues. Survivors include his loving wife of almost 45 years, Mary; children, Victoria Mowrey (Kim), Joan Stadler (Mick), Pamela Boyett and Mark Panigoni (Lisa); brother, Hubert Strnad (Jo); grandchildren, Andre’ Jarreau, Jean-Paul Jarreau, Candice Mowrey, Megan Mowrey, Sara Mowrey and Jack Panigoni. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2017, at 2:00 PM at Ellendale United Methodist Chruch, 7205 Centralia Road, Ellendale, TN 38135
