Gerald Stonitsch's Obituary
Gerald Joseph Stonitsch, 73, died Friday November 5, 2010 Mr. Stonitsch was born in Joliet, IL then resided in the Lake of the Ozarks, MO for 35 years, before retiring to Fort Myers, FL in 2001, then moved to the Villages in 2007. Jerry was a building contractor in Sunrise Beach, MO and served as the Volunteer Fire Chief of the Sunrise Beach Fire Protection District for over 20 years and was one of the founding members of the Community Ambulance Service, which later became the Cam-Mo Ambulance District. He was an avid bass fisherman, boater, golfer, and bowler. Survivors include his wife, Kay Murray, sons, David (Vickie) Stonitsch of Fort Myers, FL, Kevin ( Melanie) Stonitsch of Fort Myers, FL, Mark ( Kim) Stonitsch, Scott Stonitsch both of Camdenton, MO., Eight Grandchildren, and many friends. Jerry was proceeded in death by his parents, Frank (Babe) and Anna Stonitsch, and one Granddaughter Carissa Stonitsch. In lieu of Flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Family Organization, P.O. Box 1939, New Port Richey, FL 34656 or New Covenant United Methodist Church, 3470 Woodbridge Dr, The Villages, FL 32162. Jerry’s life will be celebrated at the New Covenant United Methodist Church, on Sunday Nov. 14th @ 1:30 pm. A Memorial Service will be scheduled in Camdenton, MO at a later date.
