George R Shinn's Obituary
George R. Shinn, 78, Sumterville, Florida passed away on August 17, 2015 at his residence under the loving care of his family and staff of Cornerstone Hospice. Mr. Shinn was born on February 19, 1937 in Petaluma, California to his parents George Edgar Shinn and EarlaMay (Tuttle) Shinn. He was the Owner of Vintage Boat Services in Sumterville, Florida. He and his wife moved to Sumterville 24 years ago from Fort Lauderdale, Florida and he was a member of Rock of Ages Lutheran Church of Wildwood, Florida. He was a member of Sunnyland Chapter of the Antique and Classic Boat Society. He enjoyed air boating and working on boat engines. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years Lynne L. Shinn of Sumterville, FL; four daughters: Valerie Bowers (Michael) of Overland Park, KS, Lorie Newton (Jimmy) of Inverness, FL, Tammy Shinn of Coconut Creek, FL and Barbara Quick of Richmond, VA; a son: Darren Bonak (Debra) of Brooksville, FL; a sister: Sharon Havranek of Carmichael, CA; twelve grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and a loving niece and a nephew. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 11:00AM at the family residence. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to Rock of Ages Lutheran Church, Wildwood, Florida. On-line condolences may be shared by visiting www.bankspagetheus.com.
