George W. Clark's Obituary
George W Clark went to be with The Lord May 5, 2025, in The Villages, FL at the age of 86. He was one of 12 children born to Lloyd Sr and Mary Margret (Bishop) Clark in Montpelier, Ohio.
George learned the value of hard work at a young age working at his father’s tomato canning factory. He married Mary Jane Lutz in 1960 and raised 3 children across the Midwest, moving often due to his successful career with Norfolk Southern Railroad, where he retired as a Train Master after 30 years of service. He enjoyed 31 years of well-deserved retirement first on Jekyll Island, GA, where he enjoyed golfing. Then in Auburn, IN, where he built a new home. And finally, God’s waiting room The Villages, FL where he learned to play the guitar.
George is survived by his wife Linda Clark, sisters: MaryJane, Jeanette and Lucy, son, George, Jr. (Myra) of TN, daughter, Lana Metzger of TN and son, Todd (Chris) Clark of FL, grandchildren: Rebekah Clark and Jacob Clark, Shelby (Andy) Sickley, Tucker Clark and Zoey Clark, great grandchildren: Austin and Evelyn Sickley and his fur friend, Sammie.
George was a hardworking, spirit-filled man, known for his quick wit and humor. He was a devoted husband, a loving Dad and proud grandpa who will be missed dearly.
