Gay Phillips Crenshaw's Obituary
Gay P. Crenshaw, 87, Wildwood, Florida went to be with her Lord and Savior at her residence on February 5, 2025, under the care of her loving family and staff of Cornerstone Hospice. Gay was born on February 14, 1937, in Wildwood, Florida to her parents Edward Phillips and Katie (Word) Phillips.
Gay was a lifelong resident of Wildwood, Florida. She was of the Baptist faith and was an active member of First Baptist Church of Wildwood. Gay was very active in the church especially teaching Sunday school and supporting youth programs in the church. She liked keeping her house clean and tidy and keep her yard tidy and neat as well. She was affectionately known by her grandchildren as “Granny’. She married her husband the love of her life on August 25th,1956 at First Baptist Church Wildwood.
Gay is survived by her husband of 68 years: Gilbert Crenshaw of Wildwood, FL; children: Belinda Sue Branch and her husband Alan of Wildwood, FL and Dale A. Crenshaw and his wife Liza of Wildwood, FL; two brothers: Michael Phillips of Dunnellon, FL and Katren Higgs of Buena Vista, GA; four grandchildren: Angela McKay and her husband Andy, Dana Hinkle, Jaimie Kinney and her husband Lance and Jessica Arnstein and her husband Drew all of Wildwood, FL; twelve great-grandchildren: Brooke Lorusso and her husband Dylan, Ashton Dellinger and her husband Brandon, Sidney Manns, Lexy McKay, Rylan Manns, Wyatt McKay, Colt Manns, Colton McKay, Presley Arnstein, Easton Kinney, Kennedy Arnstein and Jack Kinney; six great-great grandchildren: Emerson Lorusso, Hadley Lorusso, Brix Lorusso, Rowan Dellinger, Ellis Dellinger and Everett Dellinger and many loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Richard Phillips, a sister, June Poe.
A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held on Monday, February 10, 2025, at 11:00AM at First Baptist Church of Wildwood, Florida with Pastor Craig Attaway officiating. There will be a gathering of family and friends prior to the service at the church from 10:00AM till the hour of service. A burial will follow the service at Oak Grove Cemetery, Wildwood, Florida.
