Franklin Moody McElrath's Obituary
Franklin Moody McElrath, age 87, passed away May 29, 2018. Franklin was born to James and Mary (Quinn) Brady on March 11, 1931 in Wildwood, Florida. Franklin married Lavonne Walker in Georgia in 1957.
Franklin belonged to the Trinity Baptist Church in Coleman. He loved to play the fiddle, listen to Old Time Gospel Music, and he greatly enjoyed fishing and his grandchildren. Franklin was a good man who worked hard and took care of his family. Franklin worked as the chief engineer at the Power Plant.
Franklin is survived by his wife, daughter Geneva and Jerry Freeman of Venus, Florida. Two grandsons Jerry and Travis.
Franklin is preceded in death by one son, franklin Moody McElrath Jr., and four brothers, Walter, Floyd, Harry and Charles.
Services will be held on Friday June 1, 2018 at 1:00 PM at the Banks/Page-Theus Funeral Home in Wildwood, Florida with burial immediately following in Oak Grove Cemetery..
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Trinity Baptist Church in Coleman, Florida
