Francis J Duffy's Obituary
Francis Joseph Duffy, 90, of Lady Lake, FL, formerly of Pottsville, PA, passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2015. Mr. Duffy was born February 6, 1925 in Branchdale, PA to John V. and Theresa (Marx) Duffy. He was a WWII, U.S. Army, Veteran distinguished with a Purple Heart. He was a retired Forman with Alcoa in Cressona, PA and had been a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Schuylkill Haven, PA and then became a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Inverness, FL. Francis moved from Pottsville to Central Florida in September of last year after losing his wife, Barbara. Survivors include his children, Barbara Sattazahn (Robert) of The Villages, FL, Patricia Duffy of The Villages, FL, John Duffy of Hazleton, PA and Joseph Duffy of Davidsonville, MD; 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. A funeral mass will be celebrated 8:30am, Monday, August 24, 2015, in St. Timothy Catholic Church, The Villages. A reception will follow the mass in the Sattazahn's home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society, donate.cancer.org.
