Frances H. Lansell's Obituary
Frances H. Lansell, 91, of Leesburg, FL passed away Sunday, October 27, 2024. She was born July 31, 1933, in Saltville, VA to G.C. and Bessie (nee Ashley) Stamper.
She loved education and teaching others. During her career, she taught special needs and hearing-impaired students and was employed for a time in training and sales. She believed in life-long learning and was a proud graduate of the University of NC, Greensboro where she received a meritorious award for service. She volunteered with the Boy and Girl Scouts. She was active in her community and volunteered at First Christian Church.
In addition to education Fran traveled extensively, living in England and Germany.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, G. C. Edwards; brothers: Robert, Bryan, James, John, Edward, and Clifford; sisters: Viola Lawson, Ann King, Jan Brooks, and Shirley Barker.
Fran is survived by her daughter, Donna Edwards and husband, Ceasar Banks of Greensboro, NC, sister Rose S. Schisler of Acworth, GA. and many nieces and nephews, whom she adored.
A private family celebration of life service will take place at a later date.
