Florence Alice Walker's Obituary
Florence Alice Brooke Walker, 91, Wildwood, Florida passed away on July 10, 2014 surrounded by those she loved. Mrs. Walker was born on September 15, 1922 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to her parents Robert Forrest Brooke and Alice Ritter Brooke. She was employed for Estee-Lauder as a Beauty Consultant for Bonwit-Teller in Philadelphia, PA. She moved to Wildwood in 1986 from Philadelphia, PA. and was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Wildwood, FL. Mrs. Walker had volunteered for the 50th Ward Volunteer Ambulance Corps while living in Philadelphia and was very proud of her service to her community. She is survived by her loving son: Drew Brooke Drielak of Wildwood, FL; three nieces: Edith, Marie and Patricia; a nephew: Raymond; her care givers: Daniel and Patricia Kopko, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Kline and Dolores Coe. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Edward J. Walker. A Mass of Resurrection will be held on Monday, July 14, 2014 at 10:00AM at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Wildwood, FL. with burial to follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. A Visitation will be held prior to the service at Banks, Page-Theus Funeral Home in Wildwood, FL. from 8:30AM to 9:30AM. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Cornerstone Hospice in Florence’s loving memory. On-line condolences may be shared by visiting www.bankspagetheus.com.
