Flora Dell Watson's Obituary
Flora Dell Watson, 92, Wildwood, Florida went to be with Her Lord on April 21, 2024 at her residence in Wildwood surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 21, 1932 in Wildwood, Florida to her parents Victor N. Mathews and Jessie Rae (Bryan) Mathews.
Flora Dell was a lifelong resident of Wildwood, Florida and was married to her beloved husband of 73 years George Clyde Watson, Jr. who passed away on March 30, 2024. She was a member of Oxford Assembly of God Church and was very active as the church pianist, organist, and taught Sunday school for 50 plus years. She played many weddings, funerals and special occasions for her church and school. Flora Dell was a retired Secretary from the North Sumter Primary School where she worked from 1967 to 1994. She was the past President of the P.T.A. for the Wildwood Elementary School. Flora Dell enjoyed Camping and Vacationing with her beloved husband Clyde.
She is survived by her loving children: Tim Watson and his wife Mary Lou of Oxford, FL and Kathy Pearce and her husband Danny of Wildwood, FL; three grandchildren: Laura Todd, Luke Pearce and Dale Watson; six great-grandchildren: Lana Todd, Lissa Todd, Jackson Todd, Landry Watson, Lawson Watson and Whitney Watson.
Flora Dell is preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Victor Ray Mathews and her beloved husband, George Clyde Watson, Jr.
Funeral Service to be held on Friday, April 26, 2024 at 11:00AM at Banks, Page-Theus Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Derrel Strickland officiating. Visitation prior to the Funeral Service on Friday, April 26, 2024 from 10:00AM to 11:00AM at Banks, Page-Theus Funeral Chapel. Burial to follow funeral service at Greenwood Cemetery, Wildwood, Florida.
The family has requested donations be made to Oxford Assembly of God Church in Oxford, Florida in Flora Dell’s loving memory.
