Farrel Lee Fort's Obituary
Farrel L. Fort, 63, of Libertyville, IL went home to heaven Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011. He grew up in Wildwood Florida and received his Ph.D. in biochemistry at the University of Florida and his M.B.A. from the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management. He was married to his wife, Trish, for 37 years. Following his retirement from Abbott Labs and TAP Pharmaceuticals, he was employed as senior vice president for drug development at Cleveland BioLabs. He lived life with a passion. He obtained his pilot's license, a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, enjoyed racing his sailboat, golfing, and playing the saxophone. He was actively involved in the Gideons, and started the Christian Cancer Survivors Group at his church. He was a wonderful dad to his children, Kevin and Caroline, and participated in Indian Princesses and Indian Guides when they were young. He is survived by his wife, children, and sister, Miriam. Funeral services will be held in the chapel at Banks Page- Theus Funeral Home, Wildwood on Wednesday, Feb. 23 at 2pm , Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. .
