Taylor, Evelyn B.'s Obituary
Evelyn B. Taylor, 88, Oxford, Florida went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 21, 2025 at Ruleme Center in Eustis, Florida. Evelyn was born on July 22, 1937 in Mulberry, Florida to her parents.
Evelyn moved to Oxford, Florida over 50 years ago from Valrico, Florida with her late husband Johnny “JC” Taylor. She loved the outdoors and horses and was known for her ability to teach horse riding skills to beginners. Evelyn had worked with many youths over the years at her farm called “Barn-Brats”. She loved to entertain family and friends. Evelyn was of the Christian faith.
Evelyn is survived by her loving children: a son, Johnny Taylor, II and his wife Missie of Bell, FL; three daughters, Penny Stokes and her husband Lawrence “Buddy” Stokes of Elba, AL, Cynthia Taylor of Oxford, FL, and Rebecca Sutton and her husband Lonnie Sutton of Maggie Valley, NC; ten grandchildren; twenty two great-grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Johnny “JC” Taylor, a beloved grandson, Shaun Stokes.
A Private Celebration of Evelyn’s Life will be held at a later date.
The family has requested that donations be made to Cornerstone Hospice at 2445 Lane Park Tavares, FL 32778 in Evelyn’s loving memory.
