Evelyn Rose Sheffield's Obituary
Evelyn Rose Sheffield, 91, of Wildwood, passed away Thursday, December 11, 2014. Mrs. Sheffield was born August 18, 1923 in Burlington, WI to the late Raymond and Norma (Emerling) Schuerman. She was a U.S Navy Veteran of WWII and Korea. She moved to Wildwood in 1968 from Bremen, GA. Evelyn retired as a Registered Nurse in the ER at Munroe Regional Medical Center in Ocala. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Wildwood where she was very active, serving in many ministries including the Bereavement Committee. She was recognized by the Diocese and awarded a Mary, Mother of God Pendant for her services. Survivors include her 3 sons, Phil (Karen) of Port Charlotte, Jim (Jackie) of Ocala and Mark (Darci) of Redington Shores, FL; 3 daughters, Kathy Foster of Leesburg, Janice (Ron) Johnson of MacClenny, FL and Mary Kay (Tim) Weeks of Atlanta, GA; sister, Lorraine Box of WI; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Evelyn was preceded in death by her loving husband, Buford Edd and son, Jerry. Visitation for Evelyn will be 6:00pm – 8:00pm, Monday, December 15, 2014 in the Banks/Page-Theus Chapel. Funeral Mass will be 10:00am, Tuesday, December 16, 2014, in the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Wildwood with interment following in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.
