Ethel M Whiteman's Obituary
Ethel Mae Whiteman, 92, of Oxford passed away Saturday, September 17, 2016. Mrs. Whiteman was born September 14, 1924 in New Castle, PA to Parl Vernon and Anna Mae (Hill) Park. She worked as a floor manager in a department store. Ethel moved here permanently in 1986 from St. Petersburg and was a member of the Oxford United Methodist Church. She was a avid reader, enjoyed crocheting, working crossword puzzles and socializing. Survivors include her children, Arnold Ray, Jr and Jo Ann Whiteman of Arizona, Virginia Ann and Victor Benton of Oxford, Paul Arthur and Susan Whiteman of St. Petersburg, Alan Robert Whiteman of Oxford; sister, Edna Pauline Miller of New Castle, PA; 5 grandchildren, Langdon, Heidi, Allison, Brandi and Aaron; 2 great-grandchildren, Emma and Lillian Grace; many nieces and nephews. Ethel was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, Arnold Ray, Sr; brother, John Milton Park and sister, Eleanor Jean Burk.
