Ernest Darroll Martin's Obituary
Ernest Darroll Martin, 70, of Oxford, FL passed away surrounded by his family on Aug. 15, 2011. He was born to Ernest B. and Lucille Martin in Oxford on Aug. 2, 1941. Darroll was a successful rancher/farmer and a member of the FL Cattleman’s Assoc. He was also a member of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church his entire life and served as a trustee for the Church. While his love for family and church came first, he also had a passion for hunting and fishing. He is survived by his loving wife of 11 years, Joyce Turner Martin; mother, Lucille Martin; sons: Craig (Angel) Martin; Brad-Deon (Ashley) Martin; step-son, Robbie (Jamie) Shoemaker; step-daughter, Brandi (Dwhyte) Cudjoe; sister, Lynell (Jerry) Purcell; grandchildren: Jessica, Avery, Broughton and Branson Martin and Kelton Cudjoe. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to Cornerstone Hospice, 2445 Lane Park Road, Tavares, FL 32778. A visitation will be held from 6-8pm, Fri. Aug. 19th at Banks/Page-Theus Funeral Home (Wildwood). Funeral service will be held at 10:00am, Sat.
