Emry Rebstad's Obituary
Emry O. Rebstad, 80, of Summerfield passed away Monday, October 29, 2012. Mr. Rebstad was born in Worcester, Massachusetts, March 31, 1932 to the late Olaf M. and Florence R. (Johnson) Rebstad. He moved to Florida in 1990 from Southington, Connecticut. He was a U.S. Army, Korean War Veteran, a Methodist by faith and a retired aircraft mechanic. He belonged to the FFA in High School, served 12 years in the Coast Guard Auxiliary and belonged to the VFW. He had a passion for boating and fishing. Survivors include 5 sons, Mark, Peter, Tim, Dan and Jon; a daughter, Susan; 17 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Mr. Rebstad was preceded in death by his loving wife, Barbara; son, Stephan and brother, Richard. Inurnment and services will be held in the Cathedral of the Pines Cemetery in the future. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions should be directed to Cornerstone Hospice, 601 Casa Bella, The Villages, Fl 32162.
