Emerald Joseph Cabana, 79 of Lake Panasoffkee, FL passed away Friday, March 25, 2022. He was born July 23, 1942 in Derry, NH.
He moved from Lowell, MA to Florida in 1982. If he wasn't spending time with his family then he was probably out fishing or enjoying one of the many novels by his favorite author, William W. Johnstone. He liked the western novels, but he truly loved the Mountain Man Series. He used to always say: "If I was born earlier; I would have been a Mountain Man". He was also a Fellow member of the Loyal Order of Moose since 1988. Lodge 1179 Lake Panasoffkee, FL and Lodge 2112 Inverness, FL.
As an Army Veteran he was a member of American Legion Post 52 in Lake Panasoffkee, FL.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn Lanctot, step-father, Joseph Morin and brother, AL Cabana.
He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Sandra L. "Meier" Cabana, son, Eric (Jennifer) Boyd, grandchildren: Hunter and Dalton and several other loving family and friends.
There are no services scheduled at this time and cremation has taken place at Banks/Page-Theus Funeral Home 410 Webster St. Wildwood, FL 34785.
