Ellen E. Jongens' Obituary
Ellen E. Jongens, 91, of Lake Placid passed away Friday, January 20, 2017. Mrs. Jongens was born May 2, 1925 in Roscoe, PA to Raymond and Charliena Pritchard (Lewis) Hall. She retired in 1983 from Comerica Bank in Warren, MI and moved to Lake Placid. Ellen was a member of the Memorial United Methodist Church in Lake Placid and volunteered at Manna Ministries in Lake Placid since it opened in 1995. She was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, John Jongens. Survivors include her children, Janet Alphonse (Terry) of Casco, MI and Cynthia Williams (James) of Brandon, FL; 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Ellen’s family and friends will celebrate her life 11:00am, Wednesday, January 25, 2017, in the Memorial United Methodist Church, Lake Placid. Interment is private in Lakeview Memorial Gardens, Avon Park.
