Elizabeth Frances Rose's Obituary
Elizabeth Frances Rose, 88, of Leesburg passed away Thursday, December 8, 2011. Mrs. Rose was born December 9, 1922, in East Stroudsburg, Pa. and moved to Florida in 1980 from Greentown, Pa. She was a retired Registered Nurse; she attended New Life Baptist Church in Leesburg, had served as a Lieutenant in the Army Air Corp during WWII and had spent about 3 years at the Prairie Bible Institute in Three Hills, Canada. Survivors include her loving husband of 38 years, Carl; brother, Alvin Merring, Jr. of Ga.; sisters, Edna Stetler of Alabama and Margaret Sobel of Pa. along with 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Joy Derancis. A service to honor Elizabeth Rose’s life will be held 2:00pm, Thursday, December 22, 2011 at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.
