Elbert Leland Brown's Obituary
Elbert L. Brown, 93, of Oxford passed away at his home Oct. 11, 2010. He served his country in the U.S. Army. He retired in 1986 as the Post Master for the Oxford Post Office. He was an active member of the Oxford United Methodist Church. He was also active in other organizations such as the Pine Level Cemetery Assoc. In his later years he enjoyed spending time in his garden. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Brown of 67 years; son, Keith or Pod Brown; daughters: Dianne (Jim) Thibodeau and Barbara (Lonnie) Cash; 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Wayne Brown.At his request there will not be any funeral services at this time.
