Elbert Joseph Marchbanks' Obituary
Elbert Joseph “Jim” Marchbanks, 89 of Wildwood, FL. went to be with the Lord on April 26, 2012 in Winter Garden, FL. Mr. Marchbanks was retired from the U.S. Air Force where he served as a Flight Engineer. Jim was born in Easley South Carolina on December 6, 1922 to his parents William Dean and Bessie Marchbanks. He attended Continental Christian Church in Wildwood, FL., and moved to the Wildwood area in 2002 from Tampa, FL. Jim retired in 1966 from the Air Force as a Master Sergeant and his last duty assignment was at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, FL. He is survived by his two sons: Larry Marchbanks of Oxford, FL., and Craig Marchbanks and his wife Georgia of Tampa, FL.; four sisters: Daphna, Mary, Clara and Jenny all of Easley, South Carolina; five grandchildren: Kristine, Alexis, Leslie, Mallory and Sean. Mr. Marchbanks was preceded in death by his loving wife Kathleen and his daughter Pamela. Graveside Funeral Services will be on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at 11:00am at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. with full military honors.
