Boxler, Edwin Paul's Obituary
Edwin Paul Boxler, 83, Wildwood, Florida went to be with his Lord and Savior on June 2, 2025 at UF Health Spanish Plaines Hospital in The Villages, Florida. Ed was born November 29, 1941 in Akron, Ohio to his parents Edwin Charles Boxler and Mary Jay (Ross) Boxler.
Ed graduated from East High School in Akron, Ohio. He was a Vietnam Veteran who served in the United States Army. Ed then joined the Akron Ohio Police Department for 24 years serving as a Motorcycle Officer and then retiring as a Detective. He then worked as a criminal investigator for the First Merit Bank until retiring again. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles of Beverly, Ohio. Ed and his wife Gail moved to Wildwood, Florida in 1997 from Akron, Ohio. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Leesburg, Florida, where he served as a Deacon. Ed enjoyed golfing, fishing hunting and the sunshine of Florida.
Ed is survived by his Wife of 34 years: Gail Boxler; A Daughter: Pamela Arrington and her Husband Tony; A Son: Brian Boxler and his Wife Heather; A Special Nephew: Mark Husk and his Wife Natalie; A Brother: Paul Boxler and his Wife Sherry; Five Grandsons: Matthew Arrington, Kyle Arrington, Devon Boxler, Brendon Boxler and Brydon Boxler; One Granddaughter: Robin Arrington; three Great-Grandsons; Several Nieces and Nephews.
A Private Graveside Service will be held by the family at a later date at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida with military honors.
