Edward P Pontes' Obituary
Edward Patrick Pontes, 87, of Wildwood passed away, Friday, May 18, 2012. Mr. Pontes was born March 17, 1925 in Fall River, Massachusetts and moved to Wildwood in 1990 from Long Island, N.Y. He was a WWII Army Veteran and was one of the troops who invaded Normandy. He was a retired defense engineer and enjoyed golfing, gardening and dancing. Survivors include his nieces, Martha Cid and her husband, Mark Frey of N.Y., N.Y. and Judith Smyth and her husband, David of Middleburgh, N.Y. along with a great niece and 2 great nephews.
